Golf Club Plan Bad For The Environment

Stafford Borough Council's decision to grant planning permission for the further development of Stafford Castle Golf course has been condemned by Staffords Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesperson Barry Stamp as being a bitter blow for the Environment.

Conservatives To Cut Weekly Bin Collections

Barry Stamp Leader of the Liberal Democrat's on Stafford Borough Council has hit out at Stafford Conservatives plan to reduce the collection of household rubbish bins from once a week to once a fortnight despite the fact that during the run up to May elections they told local residents they had no intention of making such a change.

Stafford Borough Council Asked to Back Call To Drop M6 Widening Plans

Stafford Liberal Democrats are pressing for the M6 widening scheme to be scrapped. They are worried that if it goes ahead the residents of Derrington, Seighford, Hyde Lea, and Creswell will suffer, from more noise and extra pollution.

Stafford Lib Dems Back Campaign To Keep Staffordshire Care Homes Open

Stafford Liberal Democrats are supporting the campaign to get the County Council to change its mind over the closure of all their old people's homes and day centres. Parliamentary Spokesperson Barry Stamp and his colleague Cllr Chris Baron have already spoken out against the plans which Barry describes as nothing more than a cash saving exercise.
